GJ Commercial Cleaning was formed in 2019 by best friends Grace Grant and Fern Jenion. Our bespoke cleaning solutions and desire to lead innovation in the industry is what sets us apart from others. Since our incorporation, we have rapidly grown into a well respected and trusted commercial cleaning service provider in Essex and Suffolk.

At GJ Commercial Cleaning we are quickly becoming a leading commercial cleaning provider in Essex and Suffolk. Since our establishment in 2019 we have focused on providing bespoke cleaning solutions to commercial premises. We pride our success in the commercial cleaning industry on our ability and desire to challenge traditional methods and practices used by every one else. We ensure that we constantly review how we work to ensure our clients are being provided an unrivalled and cost-effective cleaning solution.

Each of our clients are assigned a site supervisor and senior manager which are both dedicated to ensuring the highest level of cleaning and customer care are being provided. Both will serve as a daily point of contact for you and will be on hand to fix any issues that may arise during our partnership. We are committed to being transparent to you at all times why is why we utilise state of the art attendance tracking software, allowing us to provide you with a report of exactly how long our operatives have dedicated to your site. Additionally, you will receive regular site quality audits, which are attached to your monthly service report.

Every one of our cleaning operatives are selected and vetted by GJ Commercial Cleaning Ltd in-house. Our team members have to pass an interview process, an intensive training programme, and a set of health and safety courses before we commit them to your site. We always make sure to carry out our due diligence on new & existing operatives including DBS checks, previous employment checks, adhering to TUPE regulations and working in accordance with relevant legislation.

We currently have over 50 operatives working under GJ and as a collective, we total over 400 years of experience in the cleaning industry. It is our belief that we are nothing without happy employees which is why we always pay above minimum wage, promote career progression and have a collection of incentive programmes.

Ginnie is our Office Dog and is responsible for greeting visitors and making sure they leave with a smile on their face. Ginnie’s daily tasks include negotiating for treats, supplying cuddles and ensuring nap quotas are met.  In her spare time, Ginnie loves to go on bike rides, chew sticks and have a swim. Ginnie also spends a lot of her spare time running away from the cats she lives with.
Fern is our Contracts Director and Co-Founder at GJ Commercial Cleaning Ltd. Fern will likely be the first person you meet as she is responsible for quotations, tender submissions and the execution of new contracts. Ferns day to day tasks are centred around contract management, client liaison and ultimately ensuring the delivery of an excellent service.

Outside of work Fern loves to travel abroad and soak up the sun. Fern also loves meditation and would love one day to visit the monks in South East Asia.

Grace Grant
Operations Director
Grace is our Operations Director at GJ Commercial Cleaning Ltd. Grace’s role is very diverse as it involves overseeing all operational activities and providing strategic direction to drive our company growth and overall performance. Essentially, Grace has a hand in virtually every aspect of the company and is tasked with ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Outside of work, Grace enjoys travelling and hiking with her dog Ginnie. Grace also enjoys socialising with her friends & family in her free time.

Jo is our Finance Manager and deals with all aspects of the finance for GJ Commercial Cleaning Ltd. Any finance queries you may have will be handled by Jo in her usual efficient and methodical manner. We are fortunate to have Jo as a part of our team as she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. Aside from enjoying her spreadsheets, Jo enjoys a complex puzzle, trying out some DIY and gardening in her spare time.
